About Stumptown Stages
Stumptown Stages is dedicated to presenting quality musical theatre opportunities for a wide and diverse audience of musical-theatre lovers.
Stumptown Stages is a not-for-profit musical theatre company in residence at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. Since 2005, Stumptown Stages has presented fully staged professional musicals for Portland audiences. Previous productions include: Urinetown (Drammy Award, Best Actress in a Musical), Rapture (West Coast Premiere), Grease, Reefer Madness, Floyd Collins (PAMTA Award Best Supporting Actor in a Musical), Godspell, The Last Five Years (PAMTA Award Best Actress in a Musical), Dreamgirls, The Wiz (Drammy Award for Best Young Performer in a Musical & Best Choreography), A Chorus Line, Rent (PAMTA Award Best Ensemble & Best Sound Design), Club Morocco (PAMTA, Best Actress in a Musical), Once On This Island, Dracula A Musical Nightmare and The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Additionally, Stumptown Stages focuses on original work; including musical workshops of Heart Beatings, Ebenezer Ever After and its recent holiday musical It’s A Wonderful Life.
